| Apple genome, pan-genome and variome resources| We developed haploid consensus and phased diploid genome assemblies for Malus domestica
cv. Gala (PI 392303), M.
sieversii (PI 613981) and
M. sylvestris (PI 633825),
using Illumina paired-end and mate-pair reads, 10x Genomics linked-reads and PacBio HiFi reads. The assembly statistics can be
accessed here. We also deep sequenced the genomes
of 91 representative accessions
from the three Malus species: cultivated apple, M. domestica, and the two wild progenitors, M.sieversii and
M. sylvestris. These deep genome sequencing data were used to construct pan-genomes for the three Malus species, and a
high-resolution apple variome comprising SNPs and SVs.
