Newly Identified SA-Binding Proteins (SABPs)

Several new SABPs have been identified and many more candidate SABPs are being further assessed for SA-binding affinity. Only those proteins whose interaction with SA has been demonstrated by at least two independent assays such as i) exclusion chromatography assay with 3H-SA, ii) photo-affinity crosslinking with 4-azido SA, iii) surface plasmon resonance using 3-amino ethyl SA, or iv) altered enzymatic activity, are listed as SABPs. We also provide the complete list of established and candidate SABPs identified by photo-activated crosslinking to 4AzSA and immuno-selection and by protein microarray.
